Indent Monitoring

Our monitoring system has been designed to have tight control of your cargo from collection to dispatch and delivery to your company in South Africa. From the time we receive your notification to the time it arrives at your doorstep, we control your consignment’s progress.

Pre-costing/ Estimates

This unique, in-house program, has been developed and designed to give full landed costs at the press of a button. Whether sea or airfreight, import or export, we provide this service free of charge. The advantages of such an exercise are various. Whether you’re considering a new product line or a new trading area, or if just to pre-plan your cash flow, the “bottom line” will indicate your exposure/cost.

Freight Forwarding (Air & Ocean)

Speed is essential for airfreight cargo and pre-faxed documentation ensures that your cargo is cleared through customs’ prior to its arrival. This avoids unnecessary delays and costs. Our global network, is able to offer a diversity of services. Rate negotiations with shipping lines, for example, are based on large volumes and the benefits thereof are passed on to our clients.

Consolidations

With twice weekly consol & groupage boxes, our service from Italy for example, allows AFSAS to offer rates far below those of our larger competitors. For all our traffic routes we use prime carriers, thereby ensuring regular services and reliability.

Export Forwarding

Exports have vital importance in any country’s economy. West Africa, has become a very important trading area to South Africa and AFSAS can assist with services in areas not traditionally represented by most agents.

Overboarder Services

Apart from our national transport services, we offer highly competitive rates and reliable services to and from the neighbouring countries. With our tracking system, we are able to advise our clients of exact whereabouts of their cargo. Road bond facilities, for cargo to be cleared in the country of destination and handling of border documentation are part of the services we offer.

Crating & Special Packaging

From delicate to hazardous to out of gauge cargo, we arrange packaging to suit your requirements. All our crating and packaging is carried out to international transport standards to withstand the various stages of the import / export movement.

Consultancy Services

From time to time, importers, exporters and traders require special assistance. Whether in finding new markets, new suppliers or improving their current shipping arrangements, we have the expertise to assist in such measures, in our company, we have over 30 years compounded experience with some well established connections.

Marine Insurance

We underwrite with Lloyd’s of London and on request, we offer marine insurance to our clients. This service offers peace of mind for mishaps such as stolen, damaged or lost cargo.
