Hawk Rakale Bsc. Eng (Mining) (Wits)
Director

Hawk has over 14 years’ experience in the Mining Industry. His experience spans coal underground mining as well as the establishment, capacitating and management of mine services companies. Hawk has worked in various roles from Underground Ganger through to Managing Director. Hawk specializes in turnkey project management, productivity improvement interventions, implementation of turn around strategies as well as the application of TOC (theory of constraints) thinking processes. Hawk founded Sehwai Exploration Drilling and it is under his leadership that the company has made significant gains in its last seven years of existence

Thabiso Gwebu Bsc. Eng (Mining) (Wits)
Director

Thabiso has over nine years’ experience in the Mining Industry. He is a specialist in operations management as well as public relations management. He has held various line management roles as a Ganger, Face Boss and Shift Supervisor in coal and gold mines prior to joining Sehwai. He holds a Mine Managers Certificate for Fiery Mines.

Alfred Tladi B.Eng Mechanical (Botswana University)
Director

Alfred has specific skills in the optimization of mechanical and hydraulic machinery. Under his leadership, Sehwai has enjoyed increased availability and reliability of its drilling equipment. He has over 10 years’ experience in medium sized business establishment and operation

Oupa Sepeng Diploma in Business Administration and Marketing (Damelin)
Director

Oupa has over ten years’ experience in various business administration, six of which we spent in exploration drilling industry. Through his experience operating and working for various contracting companies, Oupa has developed knowledge around Labour Laws as well as the effective development of Human Capital and procurement processes.

OJ Setshogwe Bsc. Eng (Mining)(Wits)
Director

OJ’s experience includes surface hydraulic blast hole drilling as well as underground mining. He specializes in Project management, People Integration as well as operational execution. OJ has developed skills in business initiation and development. He has held various line management roles within his career that include underground ganger through to shift superintendent on an open pit production section. OJ holds a Mine Managers Certificate of Competency for Scheduled Mines.

Lebogang Ngidi BTECH. Cost and Management Accounting (CPUT)
Financial Manager

Lebogang joined the Sehwai team in November 2012 as an accountant. With her experience working in different organisations and dedication to her work, she assisted the management team with her financial expertise and was promoted to become a financial manager. She specialises in cost management.

Elizane Kubheka
Site Manager

Elizane is a specialist hydraulic & pneumatic drill rig operator. Through his occupation of various management roles on the drill site, he has gained immense knowledge of drilling. Elizane has been drilling since 1975 and has over 35 years of drilling experience

William Mogapi
Site Manager

William has been with Sehwai since October 2009 as a SHE officer. Through our development programme, he has worked his way into becoming a SHE Manager. He has since been promoted to Site Manager.
