Registration
Teams registration will be open at Misty Valley Lodge from 1800 to 2000 on Friday 22 November and from 0600 to 0900 on Saturday 23 November 2013.
By entering online, you’ve assured yourself, and your team mates, a place on the start line at the race. However, this isn’t the end of the entry process; there’s still Race Registration (at the event). The first thing your team captain should do is come to Race Registration with the following:
A signed Race Waiver for each team member (plus the parent/guardian signature for under 18 riders). Try to have this paperwork organised well before the event – it will make Race Registration so much easier for everyone.
Your confirmation of entry which will be sent to you electronically once payment has been secured.
Your Pit Area
You will receive a pit area as part of your entry. This will provide you with an erected 6m x 6m marquee or a 3m x 3m space for Solo rider. The entire Race Village will be lit up with strong lighting.
Race Cancellation
Misty Valley Lodge reserves the right to cancel the race at any time. The race may be cancelled due to inclement weather conditions and lightning.
24/12 Hour Route Info
The route will consist of a 7km loop. Each lap will consist of single track, jeep track and farm roads. There will be ample overtaking sections between single track. You will encounter loose rocks, bridges, some easy technical conditions, a stream crossing and lots of flowing fun. Please don’t underestimate the race as it is mostly held at 2000 mtr above sea level. The Route profile and map will follow shortly.
Medical and Emergency Services
First Aid will be located at the end of the Pit Area along with an ambulance and medics. It is also wise to carry your own basic First Aid kit and have it available at your Pit Area.
Battery Charge Centre
There will be a Battery charging tent with 240V outlets. Make sure that your power board, chargers and batteries all have your name and team name on them. It is highly recommended that you bring your batteries to the event in a fully charged condition. Only battery chargers are permitted to be plugged into the outlets in the battery charging tent. If any of your charging equipment has a fault which trips the earth leakage safety system, that equipment will then be removed from the battery charging tent and prohibited from further use.
