The Total Experience

All suites are spacious en-suite bedrooms, which enjoy the full view of the Durban International Convention Centre which is literally at our doorstep. Added to that the beach front is only 800m away, with uShaka Marine Theme Park being less than 5 minutes away and new 2010 Soccer World Cup stadium (Moses Mabhida 3.5km) we truly do offer convenience and adaptability to holiday makers and traveling business men.

“We welcome you and invite you to come enjoy the spirit of Olwandle!”

Being a listed building of Durban, our hotel is steeped in history. It was first built in 1920 as a residential house, 18 years later this house was converted into 45 bedroom apartments in 1938 and 69 years thereafter 2007, the apartments were converted into a hotel. The age of the building is evidenced by the Oregon pine floors.

You need not drive unless you want to, as the hotel is on the route for ‘People Mover’, which is a bus transport system designed for tourists in Durban, where you pay one fee, which is under $5 US, for the whole day.

You can use this one ticket as many times as you want, from 6h00 until 23h00 to go to the Suncoast Casino, Beach, uShaka Marine Theme Park and Indian Market. The African decor creates an exclusive, yet homely retreat for the corporate visitor, conference delegates or holiday makers. A stay at Olwandle Suite Hotel is a truly unforgettable experience.
