Bently Beams has developed a solution for the construction of slabs, spanning up to 8m, without the need for propping or framework. The solution is based on a unique beam design which is lightweight, easy and quick to install. No cranes are required for the installation process.

The beams are installed at 620mm centres with polystyrene blocks used as void fillers. These blocks provide both thermal and acoustic insulation.
Wire mesh is secured over this structure and 60mm thick concrete cast directly onto this base to form a monolithic structure.
