AMS HADEN Instrument & Mining Services is the product of a merger between R.Haden Instrument Services (Pty) Ltd and Agrimine Services CC. This merger took place on the 1st0ctober 2000. The company Haden Instrument Services has been in existence since 1973 and Agrimine Services since 1991. Haden Instrument Services (Pty) Ltd was founded by Harry Bisschoffwho has since retired. His interests in the company were passed on to his son Steven who is currently occupies the position of Operations Director. Agrimine Services CC was founded by John Wernick who is currently the Managing Director. The company occupies a purpose built facility on the Westrand at Bergzicht Office Park which is situated in Allen’s Nek.

The core business of the company is the Importation and Distribution of Instrumentation for Environmental Monitoring and Control, Mine Ventilation, Occupational Hygiene and Process Control. These include Instrumentation to monitor Airflow, Temperature and Humidity, Pressure, Noise Levels, Gas Detection, Illumination, Dust and Aerosols, Gravimetric Sampling, Water Quality, Vibration and Weather Stations. The Company offers in-house calibration services for Airflow and Temperature Measuring Instrumentation . Maintenance and repairs on a wide range of Instrumentation are carried out in the workshop which is manned by qualified professionals.

AMS Haden are Distributors for a number of leading brands which include CASELLA CEL, THERMO FISHER SCIENTIFIC, GREISINGER, TSI ALNOR and G.H. ZEAL.

The·company also markets a range of Underground Tip Filters which are designed and manufactured in-house.

The future aims of the company are to continue supplying quality Instrumentation for the monitoring of environmental conditions affecting the health and safety of workers and conservation of the environment. To develop custom Instrumentation to meet the specific needs of our customers. To provide full technical back-up, after sales service and maintenance of the Instrumentation distributed by the company. The company plans to extend the calibration facility to include Lux and Dust Calibration in the near future.
